Stunning deal:

Finally good news for facbook lovers and Mark Zuckerberg fans, facebook has decided to buy WhatsApp in $19 billion.$4 billion will be paid by cash and remaining $15 billion in stock firm.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a statement announcing the deal, "WhatsApp is on a path to connect 1 billion people. The services that reach that milestone are all incredibly valuable."
(Top-fig::  Mark Zuckerberg)

Currently WhatsApp has 450 million monthly, out of them 70% are daily active users. On other side WhatsApp founder Jan Koum will stay on and operate the firm independently. And it is said that he will also become a member of Facebook's board of directors. (Middle-fig :Jan Koum)

So, as I wrote my previous article, facbook saw its future that chatting users are moving towards WhatsApp and it is giving very strong competition to facebook. Good decision by Mark Zuckerberg, Competitor became Partner.

But I wonder how  WhatsApp founder Jan Koum took this decision !!!

Future of facebook

First of all Congrats to facebook for the completion of 10 blasting years on Social Medial which makes me to write about its future which is inside my mind. Before going there, lets know a bit about how it started and its current status.

Starting : Facebook was founded on February 4, 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow Harvard University students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. Before it was allowed for 13 + users but later they opened for all aged.(image: Mark Zuckerberg)

Facebook Statistics  : By the end of  2013, facebook crossed it users by 1.15 billion  And it shares almost  40% of total active Social Media users. Where twitter is on second position with 30%.

Facebook Revenue: Facebook 2013 total revenue is  $ 1.458 ( which is less than previous year $ 1.585), where 86% revenue comes from advertising.

What is the Future of facebook ?

Well facebook is doing good on Charts but according to being a normal Social Media user, my view is different . Facebook can get down in upcoming 2 years.

Factors affecting facebook and its drawbacks:

1. Once we take a close look on regular users that what they are doing , I found that people are mostly sharing their images and some updates. Liking others images and updates .

2. If  the image or status is related to personal life then people will like more  (95% chance), but if update is related to some  product ,news, article, etc , people will skip .So that  many people started hating facebook.

3. Almost 90% are not staying online. They will simply open, like some updates or share own updates and log off. Average Online time is very less.

4. Number of users is increasing but their involvement is decreasing. That  affected on its revenue in year 2013 (see graph: $1.585 to 1.458).

5. So many of advertising company will consider this point and may stop advertising in coming days. So facebook may loose its revenue as 86 % come from advertising.

6. Facebook is very open , so the people who likes privacy are moving to twitter  and whatsapp.

7. Facebook has added many features like trends, hashtag, but in reality its not attracting the users because people like this things on twitter.

Who are the Competitors of facebook ?

WhatsApp: As mobile users are increasing rapidly , so people are moving to whatsapp for messaging .Its more private, faster ,easy and secure.

Twitter: twitter has maintained its standard. People like to explore their thoughts and idea here because they get good response. Its more secure that’s why its not loosing their users and average Involvement time is increasing.

Conclusion: So finally conclusion is many people started thinking that facebook is just a site where you can get likes and comments on you images or status, that’s it. It may affect facbook badly. Coming days facebook needs to struggle a lot to attract their users and that new feature should be completely different from twitter or WhatsApp. Good Luck !!!

Google + nest – An Innovation for Future Home !!

What news says ?

On January 13, 2014, Google announced it was buying smart-device company Nest Labs for $3.2 billion in cash. Google CEO Larry Page told about the Nest in a brief post announcing the deal, "It's amazing to see how they have taken important but unloved devices and made them beautifully simple and useful,"

According to Deal, Nest Founders Tony Fadell and Matt Rogers will both join Google. Rogers was one of the first engineers on the iPhone team at Apple.

What is nest ?

What is Google Nest : Nest joining hand with Google. Nest is a Home Automation company that designs and manufactures programmable Thermostats and Smoke Detectors. The company introduced its first product, the Nest Learning Thermostat, in 2011, followed by the Nest Protect smoke and carbon monoxide detector in 2013.

Thermostats: It’s like automatic temperature regulator. Most people leave the house at one temperature and forget to change it. So the Nest Learning Thermostat learns the schedule, programs itself and can be controlled from your phone. (Android or iPhone). It can lower heating and cooling bills up to 20%.

Smoke+CO alarm : It tells  where smoke is or when carbon monoxide levels are rising. This gives  an earlier warning if there’s an emergency. If this alarm goes off, then Nest Thermostat automatically turns off  the gas furnace—a possible source of poisonous carbon monoxide leaks, and can stop from dangers. User can get the status on smart phones and can from anywhere.

What Google and Nest Can do together?

In 2013 Google owned Android Inc and they changed the world of smart phones and tablets. It seems that Google is again going to change very smartly, but this time in Electronics world and Home Appliance.

“Both companies believe in letting the technology do the hard work behind the scenes so that people can get on with their lives,” Nest CEO Tony Fadell told WIRED in an interview just after the deal was announced.

According to his statement it seems that they are going to make such device which will convert a simple home into Smart Home.

Smart Home : All home uses devices, like freezer, washing machine, air-conditioned, cooking stove, television, lights, coffee-maker etc, will be regulated and operated by Smart Android phones. Highly Artificial intelligence based sensors will regulate most of the devices automatically; It will prevent dangerous accidents and give user a comfort zone.

But both of the companies have not disclosed their plan yet. It’s a secret and hope to  be revealed by coming 2 years. And once again Google will stun the world !!!

HOPE

One day,I was sitting at seashore...
looking a ship,leaving the shore;
like,
my dreams were going so far,
A wounded warrior fighting in war.

The ship was looking so bright,
like,
the moon going down in the night.
My all hopes went in dark
as the ship went far... so far.

The dark sky has covered my ship,
it was so tiny
out of my grip.
The black cover had covered my hope,
felt so lonely
almost lost.

The dark night was never so cruel,
quiet,endless,no one to heal.
Tidel sound was teasing me
laughing on me.
as the people laughs on my fails,
they made this world like a hail.

I was still sitting
waiting for my hope,
dark was off and light was on.
Black cover turned into white,
like,
a bright morning came in my life.

Suddenly,
a dim appeared...
at the end of sky,
my lifeship was back
with my dreams,hopes and joy.
I stood up,
had long breathe
And jumped for fly !!!
