Finally good news for facbook lovers and Mark Zuckerberg fans, facebook has decided to buy WhatsApp in $19 billion.$4 billion will be paid by cash and remaining $15 billion in stock firm.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a statement announcing the deal, "WhatsApp is on a path to connect 1 billion people. The services that reach that milestone are all incredibly valuable."(Top-fig:: Mark Zuckerberg)
Currently WhatsApp has 450 million monthly, out of them 70% are daily active users. On other side WhatsApp founder Jan Koum will stay on and operate the firm independently. And it is said that he will also become a member of Facebook's board of directors. (Middle-fig :Jan Koum)
So, as I wrote my previous article, facbook saw its future that chatting users are moving towards WhatsApp and it is giving very strong competition to facebook. Good decision by Mark Zuckerberg, Competitor became Partner.But I wonder how WhatsApp founder Jan Koum took this decision !!!
